Massage Workshop
Moments of Glim Wellness — Massage Workshop
Touch is not a luxury.
It is a biological need.
From the moment we're born, touch is how we know we're safe — how we regulate, how we connect, how we come back to ourselves. And yet, so many of us spend our adult lives touch-starved without realising it. This workshop is a chance to change that, together.
The workshop
Learning touch
with care and curiosity.
As a Shiatsu and Ayurveda Yoga Massage therapist, I've been teaching private and group massage workshops for years — at festivals, retreats, and private events. The format is simple: you learn a complete, easy-to-follow massage routine practiced in pairs.
But what makes it meaningful is the attention given to what surrounds the technique — how to ask, how to listen, how to give and receive with genuine presence.
Why it matters
What happens when
we feel held.
Touch has the power to reset the nervous system in ways that words and thinking cannot. When we receive attentive, respectful touch, the body releases its bracing, the breath deepens, and the chronic tension that so many of us carry begins to soften.
Participants consistently report feeling more connected — to their partner, to their own body, and to the people around them. Something shifts when we learn to handle each other with care.
What the workshop covers
A complete massage routine
You'll learn a structured 30-minute sequence — back, shoulders, neck, head — that is easy to remember and carry home. No prior experience needed.
Consent and communication
Giving and receiving touch well requires language. The workshop builds in practices for checking in, asking about pressure, and giving feedback — skills that deepen any relationship.
Posture and sustainability
Good massage doesn't exhaust the giver. You'll learn how to use your body weight, not muscle effort — so you can give a long, satisfying massage without strain.
Curiosity over perfection
This isn't about getting it right — it's about paying attention. The most healing touch is the kind that's genuinely curious about the person it's meeting.
