Moments of Glim Wellness — Retreats

A few days to remember
what it feels like to be well.

Not a detox. Not a programme. A retreat at Moments of Glim Wellness is an invitation to stop and let your body and nervous system do what they've been wanting to do all along: rest, soften, and come back to themselves.

If you've been living with chronic pain, exhaustion, or the particular kind of depletion that doesn't shift even with sleep, you already know that what you need isn't more effort. It's the opposite. It's space.

Moments of Glim wellness retreat

"A glimmer is a moment in which you feel safe, connected, and fully present. That's what these retreats are built around."

The name Moments of Glim comes from the concept of glimmers — the small, often fleeting moments when the nervous system shifts out of survival mode and into something that feels like aliveness. Joy, warmth, ease, connection. A retreat is a chance to string enough of those moments together that your body starts to remember that state as home.

The philosophy

Healing through
rest and presence.

Most wellness retreats are packed. Ours have plenty of free time built in — not as an afterthought, but as the point. The nervous system doesn't regulate on a schedule. It needs unstructured time, nature, good food, and the company of others who are also trying to slow down.

The activities we do offer are gentle, embodied, and designed to open rather than push. You will never be asked to do more than feels right for your body on that day.

The container

Small groups,
real connection.

Retreats are kept intentionally small. Not because of logistics, but because intimacy is part of the medicine. Something shifts when you spend a few days in genuine proximity with a small group of people who are all, in their own way, trying to come home to themselves.

People arrive as strangers and leave with the particular warmth that comes from having been truly seen — even briefly, even by people you've just met.

Daily movement

Gentle morning practices drawing from yoga, qi gong, and shiatsu — designed to wake the body up softly, not push it.

Daily brunch together

Shared meals are their own kind of ritual. Nourishing food, unhurried time, and conversation that goes where it wants to.

Massage workshop

Learning to give and receive touch with care — one of the most quietly transformative things you can do with a group of people.

Cooking workshop

Making food together is one of humanity's oldest nervous system resets. Tactile, sensory, grounding — and delicious.

Journalling time

Guided prompts to help you process, integrate, and hear yourself a little more clearly in the quiet that a retreat creates.

Lots of free time

To rest, walk, read, sleep, stare at the sky. Unscheduled time isn't laziness — it's where integration actually happens.

Morning

Gentle movement practice

We begin the day slowly — yoga, qi gong, or shiatsu-based movement, depending on the day and what the group needs.

Midday

Brunch together

A long, unhurried meal. Good food, good company, no agenda. One of the simplest and most restorative parts of the retreat.

Afternoon

Workshop or free time

Afternoons alternate between a shared workshop — massage, cooking, tea — and completely unstructured time. Both are equally important.

Evening

Journalling & winding down

Quiet time to write, reflect, or simply be. The evenings are kept gentle — no late programmes, nothing that asks anything of you.
